Every day, our journey starts in the early hours of the morning with our expert purchasing team setting out for the Rocklea Markets. Here, amidst the vibrant buzz of the market, our team applies their wealth of experience and keen eye for quality, selecting a balance of the quality produce at the best prices. This process is the heart of our operation, where sharp negotiating skills meet a deep understanding of what quality looks and feels like.
Once our produce is secured, it is delivered to our warehouse, a pivotal hub where we also cater to other Queensland independents. Here, our fruit and vegetable stock undergoes a rigorous quality control phase, ensuring that the correct stock passes through at its correct price. Our warehouse staff handle our processing, ensuring that it meets our stringent standards for freshness, taste, and value.
From our warehouse, the produce is then carefully loaded onto our truck for the journey north to Mick’s Fruit Market in Mountain Creek. This leg of the journey is crucial; we take every measure to ensure that the quality of our produce is preserved in transit, arriving at our store as fresh as it was at the market.
From 0430 each morning, our store comes alive with a team of dedicated staff, each playing their role in preparing the produce for the shelves. It’s a meticulous process where each fruit and vegetable is handled with care, ensuring that it’s displayed in a way that not only catches the eye but also preserves its freshness and appeal.
